Leo salutes senior basketball standout Darius Branch for surpassing the 1,500-point plateau during his four-year career with the Lions.

Branch, a 5-foot-8 point guard, achieved the milestone while scoring 18 points—12 in the third quarter—of the Lions’ 72-60 victory over Bishop McNamara on Feb. 2, Senior Night at Leo. More than 20 “Team Branch” friends and family members were on hand for the occasion, including his parents, Daric and Stephanie.

Branch will finish his career as one of the most decorated basketball players in Leo history. A four-year member of the varsity, he has started more than 100 games. He is a two-time All-Catholic League selection, a two-time member of the all-tournament team at the Big Dipper holiday classic and a two-time recipient of Special Mention All-State recognition.

Branch’s off-the-court record is just as impressive. He has been an honor-roll student in each of his four years at Leo, with near-perfect attendance and a spotless discipline record.

Branch is a graduate of Sutherland Elementary School. The Leo Family is proud to salute him as an outstanding representative of our school and a true Leo Man.
