An active duty Navy SEAL named Mr. Briggs addressed the Leo students in an an assembly at Leo on February 19. Mr. Briggs could not reveal many details of his personal life for security reasons, but he said he grew up in southern California in circumstances not unlike those of many Leo kids. He said he joined the military out of a sense of obligation after 9/11 and undertook SEAL training because he wanted to be part of something elite and special. He told our students of the opportunities that would be available to them by virtue of graduating from Leo, and he reminded them that the only limitations they’d face were those they placed on themselves.
