Camera crews filming the recent CNN documentary “Chicagoland” spent four days with us, yet not one scene from Leo ended up in the final series. Why? “Too nice, nothing’s wrong. No drama,” they said.
It’s true. All we have are teachers and students who respect each other, even enjoy each other.
Nothing is interesting about concerned parents who sacrifice to put their sons’ safety and future first.
Or, maybe they saw no drama in young men who support each other instead of fighting each other.
How boring we must seem. We wasted their time.
Who needs Hollywood? All we need is you and the grace of God.
