Principal Rawls, Mrs. Horton and several Leo parents joined 6th District Chicago Police Commander Michael Tate, St. Sabina Senior Pastor Rev. Michael Pfleger and 17th Ward Alderman David Moore for an Auburn Gresham Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 6.

Held in neighborhoods throughout the city, the program was designed to call attention to the vexing problem of street violence and bring community stakeholders together for discussions on how to prevent it. Commander Tate and his 6th District colleagues were encouraged by the turnout, and Leo was an eager participant.

“Street violence is a problem we’re mindful of every day of our lives, and we’re all in on efforts to combat it,” Dr. Rawls said. “We’d like to thank Commander Tate and the 6th District for bringing us together to seek solutions.”
