Admissions Process

Elementary School Students and Incoming 8th Graders

The process to become a Leo Man begins with learning about Leo: Sign up for more information (leohighschool.org/become-a-leo-man), attend an open house or schedule your shadow day (kmcnair@leohighschool.org). Learn about Leo’s almost 100 years of educating young men.

Open houses happen each month and can be found on our school calendar. You can also contact Kevin McNair at kmcnair@leohighschool.org to schedule a shadow day or to find out more.

All incoming freshman are required to take the Placement Exam. The first exam is usually the first Saturday in December.  Registration for the entrance exam opens in November each year.

Acceptances are mailed in early January and your journey begins!

Any incoming freshman who did not test at Leo High School must be interviewed before admission is granted. On the day of the interview you MUST HAVE a copy of the academic transcript, birth certificate, and a disciplinary report from your son’s school. After your interview with Mr. McNair, you will be scheduled to interview with Principal Rawls at his next available appointment.
