Celebrate 100 Years of Leo High School | Centennial Events & Giving

For the past 100 years — through 16 mayors, the Great Depression, a world’s fair and a World War, a Super Bowl win, Michael Jordan and a couple of World Series, through neighborhood transition, civil unrest, Vietnam and a global pandemic — Leo High School has served as a pillar of stability and a beacon of hope on 79th and Sangamon.

Since 1926, Leo has educated and inspired Chicago’s young men, preparing them for a life of integrity, purpose and service. In so doing, Leo has shaped and catalyzed the Auburn- Gresham neighborhood and the city as a whole, contributing in immeasurable ways to Chicago’s storied history of resilience, rebirth and renewal. With a 100% graduation rate and a proven track record of turning young men into leaders in their workplaces, homes and communities, Leo is proof that investing deeply in young people always pays off.

To mark this milestone and ensure we can continue empowering both our students and our community, we’ve created the Leo: Fund the Future campaign. All funds raised will go directly to supporting Leo’s next 100 years. Will you join us in sponsoring this campaign?
