More than a dozen principals from neighborhood elementary schools and area high schools, as well as a contingent of pastors from community churches, attended Shaka Rawls’ second annual Principals Breakfast at Leo on Wednesday, Sept. 20. Attendees discussed various means of collaborating amid the challenges posed within the Auburn-Gresham community.

“It’s very important that we at Leo be good neighbors and viable, involved members of the community writ large,” Mr. Rawls said. “We’re always looking for ways to expand our reach. We sent some students over to read to the youngsters at Oglesby last year and they were treated like rock stars. That’s just one example of the things we can do to promote our community involvement.”
